On Tuesday night, the Richmond District SFPD station welcomed in their neighborhood for National Night Out, “an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live.”
Our cub reporter David H. sent us some pics from the event, which included free food and drinks, police horses, community groups, police vehicles that kids could explore, and more.
Unfortunately McGruff the Crime Dog did not make it this year (rumor is that he’s been hired as a Trump campaign “urban advisor”).

Ahh ha! I saw all the cop cars lining Geary but couldn’t figure out why that would be. Looks like some good fixins there. Maybe next year.
