It’s year 4 for the Richmond District Jog in the Fog 5k presented by Kaiser Permanente, taking place on Sunday, September 11 at 8am in Mountain Lake Park. The race course winds around the lake, west on Lake Street, and into Lands End with a scenic finish at the USS SF Memorial parking lot.
This fun race is a great chance to come out with your friends and family to show your neighborhood spirit and support for the Richmond District YMCA, who will receive the net proceeds from the event which totaled $15k in 2015. Both runners and walkers are welcome!
As in years past, kids 12 and under are free, and receive a free race bib (you can also buy a t-shirt for kids when you pre-register them online).
Registration for 13+ is just $40 and includes a race t-shirt featuring the awesome race logo, as well as a race bib with digital timing.
Sponsors this year include Kaiser Permanente, Sequoia Real Estate, Busvan, Green Apple Books, Turtle Rabbit Physical Therapy, Hi-Five Sports Zone, Build Group, Angelina’s Cafe & Deli, SF Federal Credit Union, A Runner’s Mind, and Gordon-Creed, Kelley, Holl & Sugerman.
We also have a few surprises in this year’s race including a special challenge along the course (more details to come!). And will someone beat last year’s winning time of 21:53?
We hope to see you out there!
Sarah B.
It’s the same day as the Giants marathon. I’m so disappointed. I will have to do it next year!!
We’re so excited to run this again! Can’t wait to learn what the special challenge is — This run is always fun, thank you for organizing!
