SFPD seeking graffiti taggers that may live in Richmond District

taggers

SFPD sent an alert out last week about these two lovely residents who like to leave their graffiti tags all over the city. One tags as “Sumdumhoe” (yup, pretty much) and the other is “Elay”.

The surveillance pics are from a building on the 2200 block of Greenwich where they tagged, but the alert also said “…their tags were also seen along the Geary corridor. They may live or frequent the Richmond District in San Francisco.”

If you have any information on these taggers, please call SFPD Grafitti Abatement at (415) 553-1152. The City’s Graffiti Rewards Fund rewards citizens with $250 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of graffiti vandals.

  1. Don’t the police have better things to do, like catch the person thats tagging sumdumcop?

  2. There is NO RESPECT anymore. Yes, I seen these two idiots on the Richmond n Sunset…
In the Mission District some Devil Worshippers have dine satanic graffiti /Vandalized Catholic as well as other Churches of other faiths as well as Mission Dolores Church and Mission as well…
There are 2 Devil Worship Locations throughout Mission District…
I suspect they had something to do with STEALIng a very Sacred peace of Jesus Christ’s Cross from a Church in San Francisco recently, something like this is very valuable to a Devils disciple…

  3. oh for chrissake. kids being kids. Also, a sure way to get your Business/property festooned with graffiti is outing graffiti writers in a public forum. And for the the record, I am not a proponent of graffiti, but please lets not turn the Richmond blog into a lynching portal.

  4. Too bad you don’t include your street address, “Kate,” so taggers can festoon YOUR building with their “art.” Kids just being kids and all that. Or maybe you should get out there and clean up this crap? So easy to be cavalier when it doesn’t touch you, isn’t it, Kate? Pathetic that these two can’t think of anything else to do in this awesome city–and that people like you seem to think anyone who has a problem with it should just get over themselves. No, tagging isn’t the worst thing that could happen in The Richmond, but that doesn’t mean Sarah should be intimidated about publicizing it for fear of retribution (which is what your third sentence seems to suggest).

  5. I was born & raised in the Richmond. When I was growing up, we didn’t have a lot of graffiti. I admit, my friend & I once “tagged” the parking lot in either Value Giant or Giant Value & got caught. That was the last time I did that!

  6. My property has been tagged several times, “Renee”. Know what I do when that happens? I clean it off, Renee. Just like I clean up the poop when assholes let their dogs do that on my property…maybe we can start posting pics of them on here too. I’d my rather clean up graffiti than dog crap. If you want clean serenity move back to the suburbs. A little grit is the price you pay for living in the City.

  7. Kate for mayor. Renee is a sourpuss; probably one of those techtards that came to Frisco but wants to change it. Goodbye Renee.

  8. That shoulder shrugging attitude about thinking vandals and jerks are the price one pays for living in the city is what the real problem is.

  9. “Kids being kids”. Hilarious. I’ve no problem with graffiti, really. There are some really nice pieces in this city. Tagging though is straight-up vandalism. Just dogs whizzing on trees. I hope they get these two and that little f’er morgan with his stupid freaking stickers everywhere. There is the grittiness of the city, and there’s just visual trash. I suggest some of you whose names rhyme with “plate” read up on Bastiat’s economic ‘broken window fallacy’. Then follow up with the criminological ‘broken window theory’. Good DAY, SIRS! And may some doofus graffiti bomb your portajohn.

  10. im ok with the public lynching. graffitti is not kids being kids. 90% of kids don’t do grafitti. this is criminal kids being criminals. although not cool, its not illegal to not clean dog poop. graffitti is much worse. I would certainnly press charges and go for no leniency if this happened to my place.

  11. I am not OK with anyone redecorating something they do not own or have not yet secured permission from the owner. I had that cleared out of my system at my grandmother’s house as a toddler with crayon experiments on baseboards.

On an entirely separate topic, it appears that the frequency of Captain’s reports from police stations has been reduced since Suhr resigned. Is this a new policy from the acting Chief or is this the result of reassignments and/or vacations?

  12. ‘Sumdumhoe’ can tag me all over any day! What a hottie! :p xx xx
