ARREST: DRIVING WHILE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL; TRAFFIC VIOLATION ARREST
36TH AVE & CABRILLO STREET
09/28/2106 11:35 PM
Richmond Police Officers responded to a vehicle collision and found that three parked vehicles had been struck by the suspect’s vehicle. When Officers located and spoke with the suspect, they observed that he was exhibiting symptoms of intoxication. Officers found a bottle of Malt Liquor on the street under the suspect’s vehicle, in what appeared to be a feeble attempt to hide the alcoholic beverage.
The suspect failed the sobriety tests, and was transported to Mission Police Station where he also flunked the breath test.
With a blood-alcohol content of almost three times the legal limit, the suspect was booked at County Jail.
ARREST: INDECENT EXPOSURE WITH A PRIOR CONVICTION; PAROLE VIOLATION
MASONIC AVENUE & GEARY BOULEVARD
09/30/2016 5:19 PM
While at home with her two small children, the victim was understandably alarmed to find the suspect looking into her window and performing a lewd act. This predator even continued the sordid behavior after making eye contact with the victim, and had the nerve to wave. The victim called her husband, who immediately went home.
The victim’s husband located the suspect a short distance away from his home. The suspect was still engaging in the lewd behavior in a public place. The police were then called and Officers responded to the scene.
Upon arrival on scene, the suspect was identified and detained by Officers. Officers learned that the suspect was a registered sex offender on parole for a serious sexual offense.
This suspect was booked at County Jail on felony charges. Hopefully he stays there for a very long time.
ROBBERY WITH A KNIFE
M.L.K. DRIVE & LINCOLN WAY
09/30/2016 5:53 PM
The victim was walking by the Murphy Windmill inside Golden Gate Park when he was approached by three suspects. One of the suspects was holding a large knife, and demanded the victim’s backpack. When the victim refused to give up his backpack, the suspects pushed him to the ground and proceeded to kick and punch the victim until he lost consciousness.
Once the victim woke up, he got up and began to run away from the suspects. The suspects chased the victim, but quickly gave up and returned to their camp. The victim was able to call 9-1-1, and Officers arrived on scene. Officers searched the area for the suspects, but were unable to locate them.
Medics also responded, and transported the victim to the hospital for further medical treatment.
The suspects were described as:
– White male, 35-40 years of age, 5’6” and 225 lbs., black hair and black moustache, wearing blue jeans and a black ski jacket.
– White male, 35-40 years of age, 5’6” and 180 lbs., blond hair and a blond beard, wearing blue jeans and a blue ski jacket.
– White male, 30-35 years of age, 5’6” and 180 lbs., blond hair and blond moustache, wearing blue jeans and a blue ski jacket.
There have been no arrests in this incident, and the investigation is ongoing.
ROBBERY WITH A GUN; DISCHARGING A FIREARM WITHIN CITY LIMITS
45TH AVENUE & CLEMENT STREET
10/04/2016 10:00 PM
Richmond Officers responded to a report of a robbery with a gun. The victim, a tourist to San Francisco, reported that the incident occurred just as he arrived at his vacation rental property. He said that as he exited his vehicle and went to open the trunk, he was approached from behind by two suspects. The suspects demanded the victim’s bags from inside the car. The victim said he felt what he thought was a gun being pressed against his head, and so he gave the bags to the suspects in fear of being shot.
After the suspects were in possession of the bags, the victim heard a gunshot and the suspects fled the scene. The victim called the police, who responded to the scene and searched for the suspects. Unfortunately the suspects were not located. However, a bullet casing was recovered from the trunk of the victim’s vehicle.
Fortunately the victim and the public were not injured during this robbery. The suspects were described as:
– Black male, 25-30 years of age, 5’9” and 180 lbs., wearing a dark hoodie, dark pants, and dark shoes.
– Black male, 25-30 years of age, 5’9” and 175 lbs., wearing dark clothing.
This incident is still being investigated and no arrests have been made.
ARREST: MALICIOUS MISCHIEF, VANDALISM; BATTERY OF A POLICE OFFICER; RESISTING, DELAYING, OR OBSTRUCTING POLICE OFFICER DUTIES
GEARY BOULEVARD & 34TH AVENUE
10/04/2016 9:28 PM
Two separate 9-1-1 calls were generated for an intoxicated suspect, who broke a restaurant window and was fighting in the street. For no apparent reason, other than his intoxicated state, the suspect became aggressive after placing his food order and began to argue with other restaurant customers. The imbalanced and intoxicated suspect proceeded to leave the restaurant, but reportedly punched and broke the restaurant’s window.
A passerby heard the glass break and saw the suspect run away. This passerby then became a victim when he confronted the suspect, and received a punch to the head.
Luckily police arrived shortly afterward. The suspect decided that he did not want to talk to the Officers and tried to walk away. Officers detained the suspect, who continued to struggle with them. The suspect kicked one of the Officers during the incident, but the Officer was not injured.
After interviewing all victims and witnesses to the incident, the suspect was placed under arrest. He was booked at County Jail with a felony vandalism charge.
