Election day is drawing near and while that other election may be getting you down, don’t forget that we also have to elect a representative for the Richmond District.
This year’s class of candidates for District 1 Supervisor includes 10 hopefuls, and next Wednesday night, they’ll face off in a final debate event at Presidio Middle School at 7:30pm.
The format of the debate will be more traditional, allowing smaller sets of candidates to square off in classic debate style. We hope that this will help voters better understand where the candidates stand on the key issues facing our neighborhood such as housing, homelessness, transit, safety and more.
We’ve been receiving suggested topics and questions from readers, and you can still weigh in with yours in this previous article.
The event takes place at Presidio Middle School, 450 30th Avenue, in the main auditorium at 7:30pm. We will live stream the event as well and will post details of that the day of the debate.

Don’t miss this final chance to get to know your District 1 candidates! See you there,
Sarah B.
i havent been to the presidio auditorium since i was a kid
should be fun
I would love to see a comparison by candidate of their YES/NO positions on the ballot initiatives. That would be a good measure of their differences.
