On Sunday afternoon, Sandra Lee Fewer was sworn in as the new Supervisor for District 1. The swearing in ceremony took place at the Golden Gate Park Senior Center on Fulton, and was attended by a few hundred people, including outgoing District 1 Supervisor Eric Mar.
Fewer’s swearing in was performed by Assemblyman Phil Ting. Fewer will attend her first Board of Supervisors meeting today.
“I am truly honored to serve the community and stakeholders across District 1 as Supervisor. I look forward to building a vision for the neighborhood that is rooted in the lived experiences of District 1 residents”, said Fewer.
“At this moment as San Francisco is struggling with an unprecedented affordability crisis and economic inequity, it is more crucial than ever to fight to protect our most vulnerable seniors, low-income residents, immigrant families and working-class San Franciscans”.
Fewer says her first year in office will be focused on “championing District needs and concerns while fighting for affordable housing and supporting small businesses to keep San Francisco livable and vibrant”.

It was a great event and she gave a good speech. But her and Phil Ting should have left there opinions on our new President elect out because they’re abandoning Richmond District residents who have more conservative views, do you see us too Sandra Lee Fewer?
