Local filmmaker Joey Yee is back with the next installment in his video series on the Richmond District. This time he digs deeper into the history of the Outer Richmond places he visited in his first video.

  1. This is awesome! Love the history. I am 3rd generation born in the City. (Richmond District)
My Great grand parents met in GGP after the 1906 earthquake in the food line. Just for your gee whiz file 🙂

  2. Gardeners hid all his statues, cause during WWI, the statues might passed for soliders

  3. Nice job. I’ve been here 25 years and still haven’t visited this park! Will make sure to do so when my native born daughter comes to visit at xmastime. : ) Thank you for the history – seems like Sutro was a pretty major role model for mayorship. Would be nice to have someone with his qualities managing this city again.

  4. Sutro’s Tunnel
was not in The Sierra, rather under The Comstock Lode in Virginia City, Nevada. This is one of the richest gold and silver veins ever discovered. Please get the history right!
