Outside Lands festival parking available at local schools

These same schools will be offering parking for Outside Lands 2012. Read this post for more information

Have friends or family coming into town for the Outside Lands Music festival this weekend?

If they’re driving to the event, you should tell them about some parking options in the neighborhood at local schools, who will use the opportunity to fundraise. Last year, one of the schools made $7,000 during the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival.

Lafayette Elementary School, 36th & Anza
Lafayette will open their school yard for parking on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10am until 11pm. Parking is $25 per car and tax deductible! All funds raised will go to help support programs for students of Lafayette Elementary.

Argonne Elementary School, 18th & Cabrillo
They will also offer parking in their schoolyard for $25 per day. Lot closes at 11pm each night.

There is also a possibility that Presidio Middle School at Geary and 30th Avenue will open up their lot. I was not able to confirm at time of publication, but given the earning potential, why wouldn’t they? 😉

Jefferson Elementary School, 18th Avenue & Irving (Sunset District)
Jefferson Elementary School, located in the Sunset will offer parking on Saturday and Sunday, from 9am-11pm for $25 per car.

  2. Yes, Argonne will be charging $25/day for cars. We’ve sold out the lot every year, and it is a great fundraiser for the school PTO.

  3. Jefferson Elementary School, located in the Sunset at 18th Avenue and Irving Street, is doing the same thing. The lot is open on Saturday and Sunday, from 9am-11pm for $25 per car.

  4. Parking is still available again this year at Argonne School and for all 3 days!
680 18th avenue San Francisco, CA 94121. The neighborhood is safe, and the school is 2 city blocks from the park. $25 each day. The lot closes at 11pm. 100% of your donation will go towards continuing upgrades and educational programs at our school. Thanks.

  5. Can we pre-buy a pass for one of these schools? If not, what time do people think they will fill up for tonight’s show?

  6. Thanks everyone – I have updated the post with the additional info. I hope the fundraisers are a big success!
