Job opening: Park Group Organizer

The Neighborhood Parks Council is seeking a Park Group Organizer for the Muriel Leff Mini-Park (aka Anza Mini Park), located on 7th Avenue between Geary and Anza (on the other side of the Richmond Police Station). If you have a passion for community organizing, outdoor spaces and your neighborhood, this may just be the job for you.

I will confess that the park needs some tender-loving-care, but nothing some landscaping, a lawnmower and a caring organizer couldn’t fix. The park gets used – when I walked by this afternoon to take a photo for this story, there was one man napping on a bench, a teen chatting on his cell phone, and a woman who stopped off with her grocery bags to take a rest and enjoy the late afternoon sun.
