This Thursday, students helped clean up Ocean Beach as part of a program organized by the Richardson Bay Audubon Center.
This Sunday you can help out too!
Join volunteers from the Academy of Sciences, OceanHealth.Org, and Surfrider at Ocean Beach for the annual World Oceans Day beach cleanup. Registration and orientation begin at 9:30am at the Judah Street entrance to Ocean Beach, and the cleanup runs from 10am – 12pm.
If you do plan to participate, please RSVP via Facebook or by email to eli@oceanhealth.org. Gloves and bags are provided for the event, but you are welcome to bring your own work gloves or reusable bag for picking up marine debris along Ocean Beach.
Remember to wear layers – you never know what the weather will be like out there!
