Randi Merzon, a “mom of a theatrical first grader at Lafayette Elementary”, got in touch with me about a new drama class she is starting up for kids here in the Richmond District.
If you’ve got a little one with a lot of creative energy, drama classes can be an ideal place for them to express it. Randi’s class will use imaginative play, theatre games, guided visualization and movement to engage students and teach them some acting fundamentals.
Unlike some acting or drama schools, Randi is not looking to take the kids to a level of professional performance. Instead, the classes are meant to teach children better cooperation skills, listening skills and increase confidence. Oh yeah – the class will be a lot of FUN too. 🙂
Classes will be held at Elevation Pilates and Yoga at 3425 Balboa (near 35th Avenue). Class schedules and costs are in the graphic below (complete flyer here).
