A friend found 39-year old Serena Arikan unresponsive Saturday morning in her home in the 500 block of 44th Avenue. Though there was no sign of trauma on her body, the medical examiner’s office determined Arikan’s death was suspicious, San Francisco police Sgt. Wilfred Williams said
Arikan’s social-networking sites indicate she was engaged to be married and worked as a manager for commercial properties in San Francisco. The medical examiner will determine the cause of Arikan’s death and whether it was natural, accidental or something else.
The Examiner adds that “it is not unusual for police to investigate deaths which involve an otherwise young and healthy individual”.
