The Golden Gate Angling and Casting Club (in Golden Gate Park) is offering a free casting lesson at the GGP Angler’s Ponds this Saturday, November 14 from 9:30am to 12noon.
If you’ve ever been interesting in fly fishing, here’s your chance to try out some of the techniques. Registration is required for the class, so please RVSP here on the GGACC website.
Free casting classes are usually held on the Second Saturday of each month at the GGACC.
Most San Franciscans have never come across the Angler’s Ponds in Golden Gate Park. They’re tucked away in the trees along the Polo Fields. I first discovered them on a morning run, where mist was dramatically floating off the top of the water.
