See “UP” at Lincoln Park Presbyterian, Nov. 29

As part of their “5th Sunday Films” series, Lincoln Park Presbyterian Church will show the animated film “UP” this weekend.

Neighbors are invited to attend a free screening of the Disney Pixar animated film that chronicles the adventures of 78-year-old Carl Fredricksen as he sets out to fulfill his lifelong dream to see the wilds of South America.

But Carl’s not taking a traditional mode of travel. He ties thousands of balloons to his house but soon after lift-off, learns he isn’t alone on his journey, since Russell, a wilderness explorer 70 years his junior, has inadvertently become a stowaway on the trip.

Admission is free. The film begins at 1pm in Burnside Hall and will be followed by a short discussion. Refershments and soft drinks will be served.

Lincoln Park Presbyterian Church is located at 417 31st Avenue at Clement.
