Hunt for a free “BikeWrapper” on Tuesday night

If you’re a biker, you might be interested in a promotion that local company BikeWrapper is running on Tuesday. BikeWrappers are a reflective and removable bike reflector system that makes your entire bike frame highly visible to motorists at night (and looks cool on your bike).

Beginning Tuesday night at 7:30pm (it’s at night because their product is for night use!), BikeWrapper will begin sending out GPS coordinates via their Twitter account (@BikeWrappers) for locations in the city where a free set of BikeWrappers is waiting to be discovered and clamined “by those lucky, quick, and diligent enough to beat out all your fellow scavenger hunters to the secret locations.”

Once you’ve got the GPS coordinates, use your smartphone or computer to pinpoint the location. Then go go go! Once you get to the spot, the free set of BikeWrappers will be hidden in a cone with a reflective BikeWrappers sticker on it (bring a flashlight if you want to make it a bit easier on yourself).

BikeWrappers has all the details for the scavenger hunt on their blog

Why I am I writing about this? Because I’ve been promised that there are a few locations right here in the Richmond District. So if you want a free BikeWrapper (normally $45) for your bike, watch their twitter account and be ready to hunt it down!

Good luck and if you nab one, let us know!
