Don’t be a poser. Go to skateboarding camp at Rochambeau this summer

Got someone in your household who’s into caspers, fakies, nosegrinds and ollies? Or at least aspires to be?

This looks WAY more fun than the computer camp my grandmother offered to send me to when I was a kid.

  1. I live near Rochambeau Park. The skateboarding there is fine…but please, turn down the music. I’ve spoken to other neighbors, and we’re all unhappy that this great program is combined with loud, obnoxious music that is being played unreasonably loud. If this continues, I plan to alert our local police station that RPD is in violation of our noise ordinance.

  2. this skateboarding camp sounds great, i wish they’d have one for adults or maybe even a refresher course for those who are bit rusty. i admit i attended a skateboarding camp for adults held by the city of berkeley many, many years ago and it was awesome. i agree w/ barbara about the music, though. there’s no need for tunes when all you need is to hear yourself carving the asphalt beneath you to get pumped up. leave the boombox at home.
