On Wednesday night, David Chiu, our current President of the Board of Supervisors and mayoral hopeful, will be in the inner Richmond as part of his outreach to different neighborhoods.
Chiu and his team will be at Ashley’s Cafe on the corner of California and 7th Avenue from 7pm until 8:30pm.
The meeting is being billed as an organizing meeting but I am told it is also a chance for residents to meet Chiu, find out more about his campaign, and talk about the city and neighborhood issues that matter most to them.

I’ve been very impressed with Chiu – he’s been extremely pragmatic and thoughtful as a supe (and especially as the pres). At the time that he came on board, I had roughly the same thoughts of him as our own Mar, but while Chiu has catapulted up and been much better than expected IMO, Mar has been much, much worse than I could have imagined. I can’t believe that I voted for him now.
