This Sunday, head out to Golden Gate Park and the Great Highway for some car-free fun and entertainment at Sunday Streets.
From 11am until 4pm, the entire stretch of JFK Drive in Golden Gate Park and the Great Highway from Fulton to Sloat will be closed to cars. This is your chance to tune up your bike, dust off your rollerblades, strap the kids in the stroller or red wagon, leash up the dogs and come out to enjoy some beachside fun.
Sunday Streets is always full of exhibitors, activities, live music and best of all – other San Franciscans. The weather is expected to be sunny and 63 degrees.
I also got word that there will be a giveaway from The New Wheel, one of the city’s sellers of electric bikes. Stop by their tent at Lincoln Boulevard and Great Highway to check out the bikes, take a test drive, and enter to win an electric bike of your own. To enter, you’ll need to provide an answer to the question “What would you do with an electric bike, and where would you go?”
