Sail away with this Sea Cliff property

RichmondSFBlog reader Wolfgang sent in this humorous photo of a real estate sign at 830 El Camino del Mar in Sea Cliff.

The views of the bay from this property are spectacular, and in theory you could probably scale the cliff and literally sail away. Or perhaps living here tends to take you away from it all, sailing into the proverbial sunset.

  1. This sign has been up for months now – about a month ago we saw the owner (?) posting a “Sale Pending” sign. Not sure if the sale went through.

  2. Not so far from being accurate. In a good size quake the joint will down in the cove

  3. Funny, isn’t it? There was too much fog then, but they have a great view of the Gate. Oh, anyone noticed how the “8” in the house number is upside down?

  4. No prob – I corrected it for you. 😉 The views from there – wow – tremendous. I’d never leave!!

  5. For the amount of commission the agent will make off a property like that, you’d think they could manage to employ some people to get the signage right!

The place always gave me a very zen retreat type of vibe. I’d love to visit (maybe for dinner – hint hint, new future owners!) but I would never feel comfortable living perched on the top of that cliff.

  6. Kinda funny that a house with such great views, looks to be staged with really out-dated furnishings.

  7. Have drooled over 830 Del Mar for ages. The $/ft is insane, but it’s still awesome.
