This Saturday, October 15 is the 23rd Annual Jimmy’s Old Car Picnic at Speedway Meadow in Golden Gate Park. Stop by between 7am and 4pm to check out over hundred different vintage cars, trucks, and motorcyles.

Jimmy’s Annual Old Car Picnic started in 1988 when classic car-loving friends got together in Golden Gate Park to celebrate Jimmy O’Keefe’s brithday. It has since grown into the largest and longest-running show of its kind in San Francisco and includes cars, trucks, and motorcycles of all types, as well as a good number of oddballs…. Bring your family! Bring your camera! Bring a picnic lunch or BBQ!

Admission to walk in and see the cars is free. If you have an old car (nothing after 1980 is allowed!) you want to display at the picnic, there is a $40 fee. Just drive up and pay $40 cash on the morning of the event, then find a space on the grass.

The picnic also puts on a raffle where ticketholders have a chance to win fun prizes. Look for raffle ticket sales on site for a chance to win.

Proceeds from Jimmy’s Old Car Picnic benefit two local organizations that serve the developmentally disabled – The Janet Pomeroy Center and The Potrero Hill Neighborhood House.
