Photo: Looking east across the Richmond District

Not quite sure how this was taken, but like the eastward looking view and the reminder of how small the city really is. Photo by Darrell Nielsen

  1. And each person just a microscopic dot in that view but each with their own, individual thoughts, feelings, and things that just they know.

  2. Darrell Nielsen takes many of his aerial photos from a two-seater Cessna 150.

  3. If you click to get the larger version of the photo and then open the “original” for download on flickr you may be able to see enough detail to find your exact building/house. There’s a lot of detail available but success depends on the happenstance of whether your residence is in the shadow of something larger.

  4. Beautiful picture! It’s vistas like this, and videos of San Francisco, like the recent one posted that someone took of various areas of the city, using a miniature helicopter, that has ended my vacillating over where I’m taking my annual two week vacation later this year in the fall. I’d made up my mind that I was going to either Lanikai Beach in Hawaii or San Francisco….no contest..San Francisco has easily won. I will be staying two in the Inner Sunset Can’t wait to be there!
