I always love having orchids – they seem to last forever and are usually impervious to my lack of green thumb. Nevertheless, I have never been successful in getting them to re-bloom again.
Next Tuesday night, Bruce Rogers – author and orchid growing guru – will be at the Conservatory of Flowers for a special event entitled “Stump the Orchid Whisperer”.
Known as the “Orchid Whisperer” for his book of the same name, Rogers will give tips that are shared in his book including how to buy the best orchids, care and maintenance tips, and ways to bring lagging plants back to good health.
The event takes place from 6pm to 8pm at the Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park. Admission is $5 per person.
