Sing-A-Long with “Grease” to support your neighborhood center, October 11

Our friends at the Richmond District Neighborhood Center are hosting their annual celebration and fundraiser on October 11. This year’s celebration takes place right here in the neighborhood at the Zephyr Cafe and Balboa Theater.

The evening’s festivities includes bites and beverages from favorite Richmond District Restaurants, silent and live auctions, dessert, and a special sing-a-long screening of the classic musical film “Grease” at the Balboa Theater (1950’s and Grease-themed attire are encouraged!).

All proceeds from the event benefit the RDNC, which runs a multi-purpose community center with programs serving all ages in the neighborhood including a food pantry that provides free groceries weekly to 200 families in the neighborhood. They also oversee the Richmond Village Beacon, offering programs targeted at middle school students, high school students and adults, based from the campus at George Washington High School.

Tickets to the benefit are $95 per person and can be purchased at the RDNC (741 30th Avenue) or by downloading and mailing in the order form. You can also view the full event invitation here.

This is a great way to support the RDNC which offers so many helpful, free programs to our children and families in the Richmond District… and show off your singing chops at the screening of “Grease”. 🙂
