  1. Can someone videotape it and post to youtube? If so, post the link here – thanks!

  2. A meet and greet from 5 – 7 p.m. ? Who decided on that schedule? Most everyone I know who works at a job is precluded from attending just cause they don’t get home in time? Most any family with children has to probably pick up the kids from daycare or after school program and feed them during those hours. Most senior citizens are at home for the day by 5 p.m. So maybe the only people that are likely to attend might possibly be some hipster types, but they tend not to follow through with voting.

Maybe an event that starts at 7 p.m. or 8 p.m. may garner a bigger audience, isn’t that when the Richmond Recreation Center does their public meeting events?

Let’s hope someone who’s more in touch with real world working issues organizes something similar at a more accessible time. Of course such a meeting time might not be convenient for the candidates. My Lord, they’re starting to act as if they’ve already been elected.

  3. Oh, please pardon me Ladies. I forgot that that meeting time could be ideal for the cougars in our community. As the day moves to sundown the cougars begin to get active and this could be an ideal time and place to spot some cougars. And then the possible presence of cougars could draw some public-affairs (if you excuse the expression) oriented men.

Be there or be square. Toodles…

  4. agree 5-7PM only caters to people who dont work, which probably means they’ll support the “jane kim” type candidate

  5. Golly folks , calm down. Any information about our options is better than none.
I’m sure we can have other meetings and other times for people with other habits. Hopefully this Blog will report on what is said for the knowledge of those who can’t make the meeting

  6. Richmond Resident, feel free to volunteer to host a public meet and greet at your private establishment at hours that you deem more congenial.

I couldn’t make it to Kawika’s for this one, but I am happy to see that local businesses are offering their space for free so that those who can make it have a place to learn more about the candidates. I’m hoping that there are many more opportunities, at various times and in various places in the Richmond, so that as many of us as possible can make it to at least one.
