HO! HO! HO! events: GGP Tree Lighting, Pet Photos with St. Nick, Santa at Angelina’s Cafe

It’s December which means the holidays are officially upon us. Between your holiday parties and shopping, you might want to check out these fun events happening in the neighborhood this month:

Golden Gate Park Tree Lighting

Thursday, December 6 | 4pm-8pm
Stop by McClaren Lodge (Stanyan and Fell) on Thursday between 4pm and 8pm for the 89th annual lighting of the official Holiday Tree of Golden Gate Park. The free, family-friendly event includes toboggan rides, carnival rides, a snow play area, cookie decorating, and live entertainment. Plus Santa will be there for a special visit. While you’re close by, stop by the Conservatory of Flowers for a free evening visit, and to watch the latest light show on the exterior of the building.

Pet Photos with Santa at Cal’s Pet Supply

Saturday, December 8 | 10am-3pm
Stop by Cal’s Pet Supply at 22nd and California Street with your pet for a keepsake photo with Santa, taken by your favorite neighborhood blogger 😉 Photos are free and all pets are welcome. Woof and meow!

Santa Claus at Angelina’s Cafe

Wednesday, December 12 | 2pm-4pm
Word on the street is that Santa loves the cookies at Angelina’s Cafe (22nd & California) so he always makes a stop there in December for time to hear the holidays wishes of Richmond District kids. Stop by for a free polaroid with Santa, as well as a magic show. And don’t forget an unwrapped toy to donate to the SF Fire Fighters annual toy drive!
