Next Monday night, all of the candidates running for San Francisco Mayor will participate in a debate at the Richmond Recreation Center. The event is being hosted by the Planning Association for the Richmond.

The debate begins at 7pm and will last until 9pm. This is your chance to see the candidates up close and hear them address topical questions and issues related to our neighborhood and the city. Candidates will also take questions from the audience.

The field is still very crowded with 14 candidates: Current Mayor Ed Lee, City Attorney Dennis Herrera, Supervisor Bevan Dufty, former Supervisor Michela Alioto-Pier, State Representative Leland Yee, Supervisor John Avalos, Supervisor David Chiu, Assessor Phil Ting, Joanna Rees, Public Defender Jeff Adachi, Cesar Ascarrunz, Paul Currier, former Supervisor Tony Hall and Emil Lawrence.

Organizers tell me that as of now, “Ed Lee, Jeff Adachi have not confirmed. Leland Yee has informed me he has a scheduling conflict he is trying to resolve but, he thinks he will not be able to make the debate.”

The Richmond Recreation Center is located at 251 18th Avenue near California Street. The great debate begins at 7pm.

So, what would you ask the candidates if you had the mic?
