Witness the wind at work… The DPW has their hands full removing sand from the Great Highway this week. In a tweet this afternoon they reported that the roadway is still closed in both directions.

I hope they come clear out the intersection at Balboa and up 48th a block — there are small dunes covering the street!
Took a friend down to the beach on Friday and the winds were crazy! We hurriedly wrapped our cameras in our sweaters.
