A special “Merci” from our fan in France

Some readers may recall a French fan of the Richmond District, Christophe, who recently held a poll on his blog to select the most representative photos of our neighborhood.

After visiting recently, he was so taken with our part of San Francisco, that he wrote a few articles and published photos of our landmarks like Sutro Baths, the Legion of Honor and the Virgin Cathedral on Geary.

We got an email from him last week, thanking all of you for participating in the poll:

Hi Sarah B. I’m Christophe from France. I’m just here to tell you and the residents of the Richmond District big thanks for your participation in my blog. Thank you for the interview, thank you for permission to use an image, thank you to all residents for their participation in the voting to elect two banners representing the Richmond District. Those of Cliff House and Sutro Baths won and are now part of Random banners of my blog: www.scorpiusstreet.fr Thank you very much. A thousand thank you. I love Richmond District. Greetings from France

Merci, Christophe for bringing a part of our world to your readers!

Sarah B.

  1. Aw, that’s so sweet! I’ll be sure to follow his blog to try and improve my French. When I was in Paris, the 15th arr., reminded me of the Richmond: quiet, serene, but with some lively areas for walking and nice parks.

  2. Merci Christophe!

Hmmm, tried clicking on the blog link and it didn’t work.

Do I need a valid passport?

  3. @Derek – give it another click, your passport has been issued 🙂

  4. Thank you for your merci ^^

I like The Richmond District Blog, because I can follow the life of the neighborhood.

@JL You’re welcome 🙂 I try to make the same thing here ^^ You can suscribe on my blog, if you want only ;), Then you could comment some article 😉
My blog talk about San Francisco and its area, but also about my hobbies : bike, actor, singer and player (PS3^^).
I’m not from Paris. I live on french Riviera, in Hyeres.

I think it should be possible for me and my family, to go to San Francisco in 2015 … and as in 2009 and 2011, I would look for a location in Richmond District 😉
