This weekend: Autumn Moon Festival + “PAWgeant” (Saturday), Jog in the Fog 5k (Sunday)

As our weather gets better (?), there is no shortage of events happening in the neighborhood. Come out for one or both of these neighborhood traditions this weekend!

Autumn Moon Festival

Saturday, Sept. 8 | 11am – 3pm on Clement from 5th Ave – 8th Ave
Autumn Moon Festival celebrations have been held throughout Asia for well over 1,000 years. This holiday is a time to reflect upon the bounty of the summer harvest, the fullness of the moon, and the myth of the immortal moon Goddess, Chang-O, who lives in the moon. The Autumn Moon Festival will be a fun, family-friendly event where attendees will have a taste of the cultural diversity of the Richmond District.

This year’s festival includes a “PAWgeant” Dog Show to celebrate the Year of the Dog. There will be a stage area as well as a decorated area for dogs. Your dog does not have to be dressed up to participate! There is a suggested form to register furry-friends to participate: http://tiny.cc/AMFDogPAWgeant
