A new music video from a band called Indira & Guppy Jo was shot in the Richmond District recently. Director Sean Phillips tells us that the video for the song We Are Enough “highlights a few of my favorite spots in the Richmond District (my home!). It was shot in just a few hours late this spring with a vague plan and zero budget.”
The woman shown in the video is Indira Sultanic, who is a native of Bosnia (and survivor of the civil war) and has been living in the US for about the past 15 years. The band is, oddly enough, based in Richmond, VA. 🙂
“I am so deeply grateful for the beauty of the Richmond District to have saved my ass on this project!!!” Sean said of his first professional music video. “I am very proud to have a few (semi) hidden gems of my neighborhood make such a gorgeous contribution to her video.”
In the music video you’ll recognize several spots from the neighborhood including Ocean Beach, the Lincoln Park steps and Fort Miley.
You can download the We Are Enough single on Amazon or iTunes. Or visit the band’s Facebook page to find out more.
Thanks for sharing, Sean!

Nice!
I love this song! Makes me smile! Dreamy and colorful video, too. Fun to see these locations on film like this. Beautifully done!
Also Sutro Heights. For example, starting at 2:15 you can see Seal Rock in the background. At 2:39 the Cliff House is just out of view, hidden by the tree and/or sidewalk in the lower-right corner.
I think that these shots may be what you’ve credited to Ft. Miley, which I didn’t recognize in this.
